The Hudson Bay Camp Knife Custom with Osage

This is a recently completed Hudson bay camp knife
from my shop.

This camp knife has a high aged pattern and patina
finish blade and is about 8 inches long.

The handle is antiqued Osage orange and you can
see from the photo the sheath was customized as well.

This was made with a pancake style set up for a left
hand draw.  The blade only goes into the sheath
deep enough where the handle ends.

Carry Knife Used Hard Everyday

Once and awhile I will post some of the knives I carry and use
as well as knives I have made for family members.

The knife posted below originally had a leather stacked thin handle,
I posted here on the blog awhile back.  Sine then I decided to
put this rough cut rustic maple on instead.

Most of the aging and darker color you see on the handle is from
me using it.  This knife gets carried often, mostly in my pocket
and is in my shop allot.  So it gets used hard.

I have used this little knife for everything from making small
kindling to cutting leather, food, fire making.  You name it.

I wanted to post a picture of it so you could see the aging
on the knife.  Everything has aged very nice.

Custom Bowie Knife

This week I am posting a custom bowie I recently completed. Some of the info on this bowie. Blade is about 6 inches long with pattern and patina aging. File worked thumb stops on the spine. Handle is tiger maple with 7 brass pins and a lanyard hole. The guard I made and shaped by hand from brass. Sheath was antiqued and hand stitched.
