I was recently scanning old photos from years of making knives
for a possible book, and thought I would share this one with you.
This knife must have been made at least 11 years ago maybe longer
and this is the only photo I can find of it at the moment.
If I can find more in the future I will post them.
The blade shape is very unique and one that will lend itself
to many uses. You can see the tip almost looks like a
butcher tip but at a smaller size and there is a nice
belly to the blade.
I would say the overall blade length being about 3 1/2"
with lots of pattern and patina aging.
The handle is curly maple with some light figure
with a couple brass pins.
Thank you
Matt

You made it 11 years ago? Maybe I can order it for myself and have just as much chance of getting it as your "available knives" are now, meaning no chance at all. They are always gone when I go to look at them. I get it--"available" means available to order since you are in such demand. That is your reward and also your burden, Matt, for having so much man love on you.

Speaking of past work, I thought I was seeing things when I looked at OA34K in your gallery of past work. That knife has a guard on it! I have never before seen an ML knife with a guard on it. I always thought Matt was a Polish/Norwegian, as the Norwegians think guards are for sissies, putting them only on child knives unless they are designed for export to the USA. I guess Matt was not impressed with the guard thing as I do not see him making any others.

Come to think of it, I have seen guards on ML Bowie knives, but I don't count that as I don't like Bowies. My priviledge.

HI Larry:
DeleteThank you for posting, greatly appreciated.
Keep checking the available galleries and sooner or later
maybe you can buy one on there, if not I would be happy to
make you something.
Yes I have made Bowie and other knives with guards, appreciated.
Thanks again Larry.
