A custom Nessmuk Knife

This week I am posting a custom neesmuk knife set
I recently completed.

The knife has a beautiful tiger maple handle with
brass pins and the blade has my pattern and patina
aged finish.

For the set a matching ferro rod was made and the
sheath is a dangler that was hand stitched and
made with a loop to hold the ferro rod.

All of my Sheaths are individually hand cut without a template from veg tan leather.

They are hand stitched and antiqued one at a time.

A Set of Custom Nessmuk Knives and Leather work.

Posted Below is a set of my custom Nessmuk knives.

These are a hair bit different in style to my standard looking
Nessie.  These are more like the design  Nessmuk  I run
in the Ad for  Backwoodsman Magazine.

Both have black walnut handles with 5 pins. Hand stitched
and antiqued in Dark brown.

Also posted below is some custom leather work I have completed. A very nice
glass bottle and cork top flask/Canteen.  The entire piece has been wrapped with
a veg tan and tight cross stitched.  This piece has also been antiqued and oiled
to a dark brown color.  This piece also has a strap that is adjustable.

The Natural Sheath and aged Nessmuk

A recent custom order Nessmuk posted below.

This is one of my custom Nessmuks with a 3 pin antiqued stag handle
with pattern and patina aged blade.

Also requested was a natural colored (pancake style) sheath.
The only thing put on the sheath was a nice light coating of
my oil and beeswax mixture.  This sheath will age and patina
with naturally.

Customized Stag Nessmuk Knife

Some recent work from my shop.  This is a customized nessmuk
with a blade that is a bit wider, at about 1 3/4" give or take.
The spine is 3/32" thick and black spacers are behind the
antiqued stag handle.

This custom nessmuk also has steel pins and steel lined rear
lanyard hole.

The sheath as all my sheaths is hand stitched and antiqued
medium brown.

A Custom Nessmuk Knife

The Nessmuk below was completed recenelty for a custom order
and thought I would share some pictures.

Blade is high aged  and has a very nice patina, and the handle is
Black ebony with 2 large steel pins.  The spine has also been
beefed up to 3/16" thickness.

The sheath is hand stitched and was done to a very rich dark
brown color.
