Vintage aged bone handled Hunter Knife

This is a custom order vintage style hunting and skinning knife.

The handle is antiqued bone with five steel pins, both hand hatched
and carved.

The blade is short of 4" and has been patina aged and the clip has
a slight taper.

The sheath has been hand stitched and antiqued an the face has
been free hand tooled and carved with a unique scroll and vine
design.

Also, I am in the process of a website & blog update that has been a long

time coming.  This change will be a better, easier way to navigate the website

and have a very clean look to it.  When everything is all set a newsletter will be 

sent and I will post here.

A Mini Neck knife

The mini kephart I make is a knife that can be set up to wear
on your belt, pocket or neck carry.

This custom order was set up to wear as a neck knife.
The handle is Tiger maple with brass pins.

A video has been posted of the start of one my country bags.
I will post another soon to show the progress.

The Natural Sheath and aged Nessmuk

A recent custom order Nessmuk posted below.

This is one of my custom Nessmuks with a 3 pin antiqued stag handle
with pattern and patina aged blade.

Also requested was a natural colored (pancake style) sheath.
The only thing put on the sheath was a nice light coating of
my oil and beeswax mixture.  This sheath will age and patina
with naturally.

Price Frontier Hunter/Skinner with Big Bear tooling

Recent custom work posted below.

This is one of my customized Price Frontier Hunter Skinners
with an antiqued stag handle.  Antiqued steel pins and brass
washers.

If your jumping here from the net and just
finding out about my work here are some more details.

The blade on this knife is just about under 5" and the forward
part of the blade has a tapered swedge clip.

This knife has also been customized with a rear lanyard hole.

The sheath was hand stitched and made to wear high on a belt
and cross drawn.

The lower face of the sheath I hand worked a big bear scene with
tooling and custom carving/line work.

Also posted below is some custom leather tooling I created on a
custom sheath. As all my tooling and leather work everything was
done by hand starting with a sketch on paper, or directly in the leather.
If I can ever get some time to make a video on the techniques I use
for this I will.

Hunting and skinning knife with vintage Frontier Style

This is a knife from my past work collection of images.

Blade on this was a bit over 4 inches with patina aging
and a file worked spine.  The handle is aged elk stag
with steel pins.  Sheath was hand stitched.

On a recent trip to the woods a beaver was  making his way

away from his home, maybe looking for some food!  I took

a quick picture, the best I could get on the move.

Hunting Skinner Past work with Spalted Maple

Here is one of my past work pieces, a hunting Skinner and all
around great trail knife.

This had a 4 plus inch blade with file work.

the handle is antiqued spalted maple with brass pins.

Sheath is hand stitched and set up to be worn on a
belt.

I also uploaded a new video of a beautiful custom Bowie knife
that you may like.

Carry Skinner Knife

A past work post.  This was a custom I made I think back in 2008

A perfect sized knife to carry with you everywhere.  The blade was about
2 3/4" inches long with a bit of a belly at the forward part of the blade.
Perfect for skinning small game.

Handle is Cherry burl with steel pins.

Leather sheath was hand stitched and set up to wear on a belt.
Of course a knife this size can also easily slip into a pocket, pack
fishing or game bag as well.

This one in a short sized carry knife, great little
skinner and general using design with a stag handle. 

Something like this with 2 plus inch blade can be

Stag Knives! Traditional Hunting Skinner and a shorter price skinner

Below is a recently completed custom knife.  This is one of my
H6 Traditional Hunting Skinner's with a Stag Handle and
brass pins.  Belt sheath is hand stitched.

I also wanted to post a picture of the knife below that was
done as a custom order awhile back.  This is a customized
version of my PRC Frontier Hunter Skinner
or the "Price Skinner"
This version was altered a bit to be at about a 4 inch
blade with some very nice patina aging and tapered forward
clip/swedge.

The handle is antiqued stag, steel pins over brass washers
and also has a lanyard hole at the end.
